Their combined 50+ years of experience at CLC and other community agencies shows their dedication to Early Education. With a focus on community collaboration and staff engagement, the leaders strive to create an environment promoting the individual leadership qualities of all CLC Staff and Families.

Shannon Alamia
Executive Director
Shannon's commitment to DeKalb area families and the Children's Learning Center has been evident for over 30 years. She started her career at CLC in 1994 as a teacher assistant and became Executive Director in 2023. Shannon's academic qualifications include a master's of education in early childhood administration. Her unwavering commitment to creating a transparent and safe environment for all CLC staff and families is a testament to her dedication and care.

Tina Cliffe
Associate Director
Tina joined the CLC family as a Practicum Student in 1998. She spent time in the classroom as a Head Teacher in 2s & 3s. In 2017, Tina joined the administrative team as Program Director and then transitioned to Associate Director in 2023. Tina holds a master's degree in Education in early childhood administration. Tina believes in lifelong education and encourages everyone to continue learning. Tina strives to create an environment in which staff & families feel supported and heard.

Beth Brooks
Assistant to Directors
Beth's bright Southern personality welcomes everyone into the center! Beth joined the CLC Staff in 2023 as a full-time teacher and then joined the administrative team in 2024. Her experience in government childcare programs shows with her attention to detail. Beth is committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for all CLC Staff & Families
Board of Directors
The Children's Learning Center is overseen by a Board of Directors that includes engaged community members and parents of enrolled children. The Board is tasked with establishing policies and enhancing the program.
The CLC Board of Directors comprises parents/guardians and interested community members. The Board helps the Executive Director determine CLC Center and Personnel policies. Board meetings are open to the public, and all interested persons are welcome to attend. They are usually held at 905 S. Fourth Street on the third Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m. unless otherwise stated.
